TREASURY ASSISTANT (FTC 12 MONTHS)

This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee accountant (ACCA) to join our Group Finance team. This role would be ideally suited to someone looking to gain exposure to a dynamic, fast paced environment. The key focus of the role is treasury which involves cash reporting and various banking queries.

What will you do as a Treasury Assistant?

• Bank reconciliation process – Weekly bank reconciliations for bank accounts. This process involves close co-operation with Accounts Payable and Retail teams and other members of the Finance team.
• Bank entries – Responsibility for posting bank transfers and other adhoc entries
• Bank account coordination – Queries related to payment/refunds details and any adhoc issues need to be resolved in timely manner.
• Cash Management – Managing cash across all bank accounts and entities in line with agreed principles
• FX revaluation routine – Run a revaluation routine to ensure all foreign currency bank accounts are revalued using month end FX rate..
• Daily Cash Report – Preparation of daily cash reports
• Weekly Cash Report – Preparation and distribution of weekly cash report to senior management
• Cash Flow Forecast – Maintenance of weekly cash flow forecast including updating actuals and providing commentary for variances to forecast. Liaising with Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance to update cash flow forecast
• FX Rates – Obtaining and distributing monthly FX rates
• Bank account administration – Managing access to online banking platforms for new users and leavers
• Bank Mandate Administration – Liaising with the banking providers to ensure that bank mandates are kept up to date
• Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by management

What you will need to succeed as a Teasury Assistant?

• Relevant finance experience to meet role requirements
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Can work independently as well as be a team player and flexible in approach to work.
• Proficient in Word, Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Banking and treasury experience desirable
• Cash flow forecasting experience
• Experience of the Retail industry preferable, but not necessary
• Knowledge of Coda and/or Business Objects would be an advantage.
• Stakeholder management experience desirable
