AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AT THE PORT OF FELIXSTOWE
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
- Various shifts available covering a 24hr period
- Flexible shifts Days/Nights,12hrs
- Salary is £12.56per hour
- SIA is essential
Job Objectives & Responsibilities
- To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
- Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
Main Duties
- Ensure access to the Port with the use of vehicle access barriers at Access Points and Verifying driver and vehicle documentation and identification.
- Ensure access control to the Port by monitoring at gatehouses of safe walkways for pedestrian access.
- Ensuring compliance with DfT regulations regarding vehicles searches (internal / external) and personal searches
- Ensuring compliance with DfT regulations regarding personal searches.
- controlling egress of containers / trailers from the port and ensuring accuracy of ANPR.
- To provide a visual deterrent.
- To liaise with Port and statutory authorities (police and Border Force) as required.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training and to undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry. Mitie will cover the cost of the renewal once probation has been successfully completed.
