Group IT Azure Engineer

Midwich Group is a specialist AV distributor to the trade market, with global operations in the UK and Ireland, EMEA, Asia Pacific and North America. The Group's long-standing relationships with over 500 vendors, including blue-chip organisations, support a comprehensive product portfolio across major audio-visual categories such as displays, projectors, technical AV, broadcast, professional audio, lighting and unified communications. The Group operates as the sole or largest in-country distributor for a number of its vendors in their respective product sets.

Job Summary
Midwich are embarking on an ambitious digital transformation program, which includes the
global deployment of the Microsoft D365 ERP solution (CE/F&O/SCM) as well as a new group wide e-commerce platform. As part of this transformation program the IT team structure is being reviewed to ensure it has the appropriate level of skills/experience and knowledge to support, maintain and develop the new services and solutions.

Due to these changes, we now have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in a brand-new role, reporting to the Group IT Engineering Manager, Midwich require an experienced IT Azure Engineer. The role holder is a member of a team responsible for delivering world class quality high level support for Midwich’s systems and will contribute to the provision of optimum customer experience across the company.

As an IT Azure Engineer, you will become a subject matter expert for the Azure platform, with responsibility for expanding, developing, implementing, supporting and operationalising our cloud-based solutions for use across the group. You will provide technical support within the environment to deliver and maintain operational services, conduct investigations into complex operational problems and make proposals for improvement, assist specialists or other system or service providers to plan details of amendments and upgrades to systems.

To be successful you will have a demonstrable experience in the below:

• Extensive infrastructure, applications and security knowledge and experience.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Microsoft Azure Logic and function apps; key vaults; service bus; VM; and data factory.
• Experience supporting complex production application environments.
• Experience with Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Office365 Message Encryption, architectural design, migration management and support of large-scale implementations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management principals in a least privilege model.
• Managed the Cloud hosting platform as well as the design and implementation of higher-level services such as the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS layers, Authentication/Authorization, Data encryption, Key management services integration and other security services.
• IaC development with Azure CLI and/or PowerShell scripting.
• A willingness to undertake a reasonable amount of travel as required, possibly including occasional internationally.
