This role

We are recruiting for a permanent Projects and Planning Manager to sit within the Corporate Services Directorate. This role will work with corporate projects and a wide range of stakeholders from front line colleagues to senior leaders including technical teams.

Working closely with the Head of Projects and Planning this role will be responsible for the maintenance of the MTVH project management and governance framework. It will ensure documentation is in place and maintained. It will provide guidance and support to Project leads on governance processes, templates and documentation and promote the governance and project management principles. This role will develop and facilitate training on the MTVH approach to project management and deliver to teams.

The Projects and Planning Manager will take responsibility for the line management of project roles as well as acting as the lead on recruitment for those roles within the Projects and Planning team. It will also lead on smaller projects and initiatives to support business outcomes and corporate projects.

This role will give the chance to make difference to both colleagues and customers. You will passionate about delivering change at MTVH, and your role will be at the centre of changing the way we work across the business.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and the skills to influence relationships for positive outcomes. You will have significant experience within projects and PMOs and be able to demonstrate experience with leading large-scale change. You need to see the bigger picture, ensuring everything is driving towards the end goal of improved service delivery.

You will have experience of managing teams delivering projects, have strong leadership skills and the ability to line manage, coach and mentor. You will be able to inspire colleagues to deliver change in a sometimes-demanding environment.

You will be a role model, always lead by example and demand fantastic service and continuous improvement from everyone you work with. You will have demonstrable communication skills, with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management.
