Purpose of Role

The Retailer Training Operations Coordinator is responsible for the successful deployment of training programmes to the global McLaren retailer network through the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), coordination of training courses and administration of the Network Performance department.

Principal Accountabilities

Learning Management System
  • Responsible for the day to day upkeep of the Learning Management System (LMS), including the following:
  • The management of user accounts, ensuring that the retailer staff records are accurate, and all users have access to the appropriate content
  • Training course management: planning, scheduling and deployment of instructor-led training in the LMS, ensuring that the required course fill rate is achieved through reporting and pro-active communication.
  • Management of training content within the LMS, ensuring that all content is accurate and assigned correctly.
  • Assignment and tracking of annual training plans to ensure that the retailers can achieve their annual training targets.
  • Create and communicate detailed training reports for internal staff and retailers to drive training completion, measure network compliance and determine retail staff competency.

Training Coordination
  • Responsible for the delivery of instructor-led training to the retail network through the following:
  • Course Planning: The planning of instructor led courses globally in-line with the agreed training plans, ensuring that the correct number of courses are running and within budget.
  • Training Centre Management: Responsible for the running of the McLaren Automotive training centre, and the booking of the regional training facilities.
  • Delegate Management: Ensuring that the delegate experience is maintained at a high standard throughout each stage of training delivery (booking, joining, attendance and follow-up).
  • Event Management: Responsible for the organisation of all training events, including venue bookings, catering, taxis and vehicle bookings.

Administration
  • Responsible for the administration of the Network Performance department through the following.
  • The management of the McLaren Academy email account, providing the primary point of contact for the department.
  • Supporting the department through the raising of purchase requisitions.
  • Ensuring that suppliers are paid on time through the confirming of goods received.
  • The processing of retailer recharges in a timely manner, ensuring the training department operates in-line with the agreed budget.
  • Managing the travel schedule of the trainers and organising their travel using the internal travel management tool.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong organisational skills, with previous experience in training or event management
  • Highly personable with strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Experience of automotive retailer operations, ideally within the luxury sector, would be an advantage
  • Ability to analyse data and present it in a concise way
  • A basic understanding of website or database administration
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
