Grounds Maintenance Operatives

Major Recruitment are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Glasgow

• Driving licence would be advantageous.
• Core hours: 41.5 per week (Mon to Friday)
• Rate: £10.50 - £11.00 depending on experience
• Able to pass PVG check.
• Depot location: Glasgow, G5

Roles: ·

· Grass cutting

· Litter picking

· Hedge cutting

· Shrub maintenance

· Leaf clearing

· Pathway gritting and minor snow clearance.

· Communication with clients and customers

· Experience using commercial ped mowers, small machinery, hedge cutters, strimmer’s and blowers.

· Understand and ensure compliance with standards set out in the Company quality system e.g., point of work and site-specific risk assessments ·

· Adhere to company standards such as risk assessments and COSHH.

· Timely and accurate reporting of near misses, accidents, and incidents

· Responsibility for keeping machinery and equipment in good working condition and expediting rectification of faults etc as per Company process, as well as processing logs in relation to mileage and fuel.

· Undertake all grounds maintenance works to specification achieving the highest standards at all times.

Schedule: • 8-hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
