LRQA – Industrial Placement Student Vacancies – Start August/September 2023 – 12 Month Placement – Location: Birmingham Office

The Inspection Services Division of LRQA Ltd. is seeking a student for their industrial year placement. Students undertaking the following relevant courses are invited to apply; Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Nuclear Engineering.

Role Purpose:

The Industrial Year Placement Year Student role has been created to provide support for the Technical & Quality Governance team at LRQA, reporting to the head of Technical & Quality Governance. The role supports Technical & Quality activities and involves a combination of activities and training to encompass technical administrative functions, auditing, project work and support for inspection activities. The role requires attendance at LRQA’s Birmingham Office with some opportunity to work from home and travel to customers and other LRQA offices. The role adheres to the requirements of a professional development scheme (such as the MPDS for IMechE)

The 12-month programme includes the following activities:

• Quality Management & Audit Training

• Technical Support (supporting audits and the quality management system)

• Inspector Training

• Supporting Inspectors on site or remote

• Working in a project team
