Job Description
Grade 5- £30699-£33819pa (Plus 10% shift allowance + weekend enhancements)

To respond to emergency calls received through the control centre for Careline and Telecare alarms, by visiting the service user’s location, as quickly and safely as possible and gaining access to dwellings to assist service users.

To carry out necessary basic first aid, where required, and co-ordinate the appropriate emergency and/or welfare response, through liaison with GPs, ambulance services, relatives, carers, key-holders and other professionals. This will also include using specialist lifting equipment to assist service users who are uninjured and have fallen.

To participate in a programme of periodical checks on the serviceability of equipment and provide service users with any relevant training in the use of equipment.

Full training given where necessary.

Demonstrate a flexible approach in the delivery of work within the service cluster. Consequently, the post-holder may be required to perform duties not specifically identified in the job profile but which are in line with the general responsibilities of the post.

Physically able to carry out the tasks required, particularly related to the provision of emergency assistance

Holds, or is willing to obtain the appropriate First Aid qualification and other technical and job-related qualifications which are essential to the role and compliance with Health and Safety

Due to the nature of the role a full driving licence and use of own vehicle is essential.
