About us

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Because we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

The Role

In this role you will be ensuring all on-street parking related assets within Camden are compliant and in accordance with statutory legislation and Camden's parking policies and procedures. This includes quality assuring all asset data; reporting faults and/or repairing assets; preparing detailed job requests, collecting, monitoring, and reviewing data to measure the performance of contractors and in-house teams. You will also be investigating and responding to customer and stakeholder enquiries.

You will be recommending improvements to the placement and maintenance of assets based on data evaluation, changes in statutory legislation and Council policy. You will ensure productive, supportive, and good working relationships are maintained with all contractors.

About you

To find out more about what it is like to work at Camden, meet some of our People by visiting 'www.camdenjobs.co.uk/our-stories'.

You will be experienced and confident in managing regular inspections and maintenance (including working at heights) of parking assets. You should have strong knowledge of Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRDG). You should feel confident providing advice and support on the councils road network.

You should have an understanding of Traffic Management Orders and be able to provide support to the relevant parking officers in data management and asset management amendments.

You will be confident liaising with various stakeholders within the organisation and with external contractors.

You should be resourceful in resolving queries and issues, applying sound judgement to problems which are within well-defined procedures and guidance, and making decisions that have a social and financial impact on the Council and customers.
