About the Role

This position reports to the Global Operations Manager and operates under the general direction of the Transformation International Operations PMO. A key element of this role is closely partnering with the Data & Analytics teams to ensure international data requirements are incorporated into designs.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical resource with broad knowledge of business applications and technical IT concepts, as well as a firm understanding of data and analytics tools, principles, and data security considerations. They need to be capable of applying their extensive technical expertise to develop solutions to complex problems without appreciable direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the international data and analytics strategy, partnering with Chief Data & Analytics (CDAO) teams to ensure alignment with enterprise on tools, architecture, and processes.
  • Definition of international integration approach with overall CDAO organisation and governance structure including within and beyond the transformation project.
  • Establish an international data steward network.
  • Engage with international BA and IT stakeholders to review current data & analytics tool landscape and overall data literacy to provide input to enterprise CDAO teams.
  • Support the International Operations PMO to drive completion of key core team deliverables.
  • Ability and willingness to support international activities that occur outside conventional local working hours and to occasionally travel internationally, if required.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Required Skills:
  • Experience of leveraging data and analytics tools.
  • Experience as a technical architect of IT systems.
  • Understanding of data literacy principles.
  • Knowledge of data security principles across the international domain (Export Controlled Information, Sovereign Data, etc.).
  • Proven self-starter demonstrated through related work experience.
  • Proven strong collaboration and teaming skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) with all levels of management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment without appreciable direction.
  • Committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour, and integrity.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience as a SME for data and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau).
  • Experience in the data science domain.

Business Environment

Across Lockheed Martin the 1LMX effort is an internal transformation project that will change the way the organisation is doing business. This includes system modernization, consolidation of Business Area processes & practices and cutting edge operations, IT and engineering implementation.

The International Operations team within the 1LMX Program is responsible for ensuring international integration and representation across all areas of the program. Primarily focusing on Australia, Canada, Poland and the UK, the team is responsible for facilitating the capture and delivery of all non-US business and system requirements across all 1LMX product teams.
