Machine Operative (Living Herbs Packing) – Full Time
5 days in 7 working pattern
Role reports into the Living Herbs Team Leader
Lincolnshire Herbs is one of the largest growers of fresh cut and living pot herbs in the UK and we have an opportunity for a full time Machine Operator to join our team based in Bourne, Lincs.
Job Description:
- To operate a fully automated pot packing line.
- Fulfilling the daily pot packing Plan, ensuring these are always packed with 100% accuracy
- Setting up, operating the machine, and correcting any faults throughout the day with the machine
- Completing all paperwork correctly as required.
- To achieve production KPI’s, targeting improved operational and financial performance within the packing area
- Engage with the maintenance team regarding machine breakdowns and other issues which may arise
- To carry out all tasks safely, with minimum risk, in accordance with the company Health and Safety regulations
- To carry out duties ensuring quality of products
Person Specification:
- The right candidate ideally needs to be an experienced machine operator (Preferably but not essential from within the fresh produce sector)
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude and be able to follow instruction
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Be reliable, punctual and have a flexible approach to working hours
- To be considered you must be numerate with a good standard of written and spoken English
- Attention to detail is vital in this role.
