Job description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a range of research and library technologies, and technology professionals? Have you got experience of Higher Education research and library environments, including the technologies that underpin them?

Leeds Beckett University is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated individual to work as a Digital Library Advisor within our Digital Library Team, part of Library and Student Services.

The team primarily provides a comprehensive colleague and student support service for a range of library and research technologies. You’ll also develop a range of guidance materials, participate in project work, assist with communications, support training delivery, and support research workflows including Open Access, publishing outputs and REF requirements.

The successful candidate will be a team player with: an awareness of the higher education and research sector environment; an understanding of good customer service; excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will work with library users and researchers to support them in using these technologies in the most effective and impactful way.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to enhance your existing skills and to develop new skills by working both independently and collaboratively in a friendly, supportive team. As a valued member of the team, we would support your professional development.

Further detail including application form, job description, employee specification and information pack are available from our website: https://www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/jobs/

To arrange an informal discussion about this post, please contact Debbie Morris, Digital Library Service Manager: d.morris@leedsbeckett.ac.uk, 0113 81 24643.

The post holder can expect a combination of working from home and working at City or Headingley campus.

Closing date: 5th June 2023 (23:59) Please note that you will not be able to edit or submit a part-completed application form after the closing date.

Working here means you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.

We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.
