Plating/ Piping Supervisors Teesside

Ledwood are looking to recruit for Piping & Plating Supervisors to be based on Dayshift and Nightshift, to join a project in the Teesside area.

The Role

To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent supervisory construction service in accordance with project/company requirements, standards and procedures through providing clear leadership to tradesmen for fabrication and construction activities. To support overall delivery of company goals and project specific schedule. To ensure all that all assigned workscope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.

The candidate will be able to:

• Supervision and co-ordination of assigned trades and associated materials
• To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
• Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete all assigned workscope in accordance with applicable workpacks/jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
• Provide support to trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
• Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner.
• Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.
• Completion of appraisal evaluations and assessments.
• Communicate Tool Box talks to employees.
• Work as part of a team to ensure project schedule is delivered on time and within budget.
• Communicate with the Project & Construction Manager on a daily basis, giving accurate project reporting.
• Provide leadership to assigned trades and ensuring discipline in line with Company standards
• • Demonstrate flexibility and approachability

• Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits and where competent to do so.

• Work safely and adhere to Ledwood company policies and procedures and those of our client
• Promote a safe working environment and ensuring at all times that the assigned work scope is completed safely and to a high standard

The candidate must have:

• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or EMSS Safety Passport

• Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Valid Supervisory Certificate e.g LATS or SSSTS

A minimum of 2 years experience as a competent and qualified Advanced Craftsman

• Previous experience working as a Supervisor and Leading a Team

• Previous experience working within the Oil, Gas and Renewable energy sector and can demonstrate previous work experience in a similar environment.

Project Specifics

More Information:

• Start dates will be from 26th June and throughout July
• Duration 6 / 7 months
• Dayshift Working hours Monday - Thursday 10.5 hours & Friday 7 hours plus weekend rotation
• Nightshift Monday - Thursday (12.5 hours) / Sunday optional
• Rates will be discussed with each applicant

This position is outside of the NAECI scope.

Accommodation & Travel Time/ Rail Fare Allowances will shadow the NAECI rates. (£43.27 Per night) - (for those that Qualify for Accommodation)

Radius Allowances will shadow the NAECI rates and will be dependant on your home address - (for those that Qualify)

Dayshift and Nightshift selections will be assigned to suit the needs of the project and ensure the teams are balanced.

The workscope will be in an outdoor environment.
