Are you an experienced property asset manager with an excellent understanding of managing a property portfolio to enable public sector service delivery? If so, we can offer you an exceptionally interesting and varied workload, through which you will have opportunity to become involved in identifying and delivering corporate, service, and partner requirements and projects across the fourth largest county council in the country.

The successful candidate will join our Asset Management Service which provides strategic management of the council's wide and varied property portfolio (schools, operational, and non-operational premises) to ensure that our property assets enable the delivery of corporate priorities.

As Property Asset Officer you will be an outstanding individual who will play a key role in ensuring that Lancashire County Council's land and buildings continue to meet requirements for service delivery during ongoing and significant organisational change and financial challenge.

The successful candidate will become involved in a range of premises related issues including estates, financial, premises management, design, project and programme management, legal and data management.

We are looking for a professional with a good understanding of the operational requirements of public services and experience of working in a political environment. Adaptable and resilient, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with strong organisational skills.

Highly developed critical thinking skills are required, alongside innovative problem-solving skills and experience of successfully managing complex issues and requirements. You will have the skills to work as part of and contribute to our high performing team to meet challenging goals.

With a proven history of effective partnership working, you will have the ability, expertise and confidence to both work collaboratively with, and support and challenge internal and external stakeholders and partners, including a wide range of professionals and senior managers.

As well as your strong knowledge and understanding of strategic premises issues and proven project and change management skills, you will be a passionate, driven individual with a record of achieving results against targets.

The Asset Management Service is ambitious for the future and we would love to hear from you if you think you could fit into our supportive and hardworking team where work is wide-ranging, exciting, and challenging.

We look forward to welcoming you to the team!
