Overview
The Assistant Social Media Manager will sit as part of the Digital Marketing team and will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of our KPMG UK social media channels - with the aim to deliver a best-in-class social media experience to help drive reach and engagement for our brand. The individual will also collaborate closely with the rest of the digital marketing team, as well as marketing peers across capabilities, sectors, firm-wide, brand and content.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to: Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing

  • Assist in the development and implementation of social media channel strategies to increase reach, drive engagement and generate leads
  • Create and publish content across our social media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter) in line with our brand guidelines
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments to drive our community management strategy
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance using analytical tools to identify trends and make recommendations to improve performance
  • Manage and oversee our social media publishing schedule
  • Drive employee advocacy through social media strategies
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimise social media campaigns
  • Collaborate with our third-party agencies including media agency, LinkedIn etc.
  • Train the wider business on the use and tools of social media to drive their personal brand
  • Provide best practice recommendations to improve performance including advising the rest of the marketing function on content and social media planning
  • Champion social media across the marketing team and wider business
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, best practices, regulation, and innovation, particularly around new social media platforms, algorithms and formats
  • Actively work with other teams across Sales & Marketing to deliver a connected one team culture

The Person
Required skills and qualifications

Two to four years social media experience

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms for business e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and the ability to create engaging content for each platform
  • Creativity and passion for social media
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media publishing tools e.g. Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite etc.
  • Understanding of influencer and community management advantageous
  • Knowledgeable of the core fundamentals of social media and best practices
  • Analytical ability to review data, content, market trends and insights
  • Wants to be part of a collaborative, high performing team
  • Future focussed - proactive and keen to stay ahead of the curve
  • Ability to challenge and be challenged on key ideas and concepts
  • Test and learn mentality - consistently looking to review better ways of doing things and leveraging tech to deliver
  • Exceptional spoken and written communications skills - with the ability to flex personal style to engage every audience
  • Experience working in a professional services environment would be advantageous
  • Brings a real sense of fun and energy to the role and team
