Communications Assistant
As part of the Communications Team, the Assistant role provides vital support for this fast paced and dynamic team, acting as a point of contact for internal and external contacts, answering queries as well as helping on a range of campaigns and events. The role also leads on collating coverage, sharing news, researching and maintaining a database and reporting on impact.

The role holder will be a competent, well organised administrator with an ability to use all main Office applications to organise the day-to-day work of a busy team.
They need to have a proven ability to prioritise and work efficiently in a fast-changing environment. Reporting to the Head of Communications, they will be expected to provide support to all members of the team to prepare documents and presentations, collate coverage and disseminate information internally. From diary management to setting up meetings, and from overseeing finance and database admin to ensuring that media coverage is catalogued and circulated in a bespoke report monthly, no two days will be the same.
The Communications Assistant will also need to have a professional manner when responding in writing and on the phone to enquiries, sourcing information and contacting spokespeople, as well as dealing with filming requests and accompanying crews on-site or at events where needed.
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary will be £24,252 per annum.
