Senior Solutions Architect

We're looking for a Solutions Architect to help improve our customer’s holiday experience. At Jet2, we're flying around 14 million passengers this year, that's a lot of the nation, and we want everybody to enjoy that time as much as they can. We are also growing the business and increasing the size of our network and we know we can do more for our customers. Customers trust us and spend their hard-earned money with us for some of the most important weeks of their year, creating memories that will last a lifetime. That's important and we must get it right. To do this we need to make it easy to search and book, deliver our schedule on time and safely, and create holiday experiences while always ensuring our customers have peace of mind that Jet2 is always with them to help. To do that it takes an army, powered by digital tools to make it happen. We need to deliver great digital experiences for our customers, but we also need to provide those experiences to our colleagues and suppliers to help create and facilitate the Jet2 experience.

To make all this happen we have a vast estate of digital products, data and processes and as a Solutions Architect, you'll be become part of a wider Application Architecture practice, defining and owning the technical solutions for an initiative from inception to the point it goes live.

What you'll be doing:

• Work closely with digital product management teams to understand new business initiatives, for which you'll produce solution designs and provide support through to successful delivery
• Analyse risk, identify dependencies and produce high-level estimates to support the business in the creation roadmaps for feature delivery
• Articulate the reasoning behind key design decisions to senior stakeholders
• Own one or more technical domains, defining target architectures for those domains and devising strategies for its successful implementation
• Collaborate with the wider architectural community and assist in the creation of technology roadmaps
• Be an advocate for new technology, facilitating proof-of-concepts to trial new techniques without fear of failure

• Proven experience working in a senior technical role delivering high-performance enterprise level solutions at scale
• Great communication skills, able to talk about complex technical topics in a non-technical fashion
• Comfortable providing technical leadership across multiple delivery teams
• A passion for new technology and a drive to constantly improve the technical solutions we deliver
• Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing workloads and prioritising appropriately
