Whether you are joining us as a school leaver or someone looking for a career change, you will soon be working as part of a great team providing SAP security and authorisation/access support to JCB staff and our dealer network. Our experienced team are responsible for delivering Global Corporate SAP solutions.

You will be involved in all aspects of SAP security and system access and can gain knowledge and understanding of every element it takes to provide a high-quality service, whilst establishing a great foundation for a future career in SAP security.


About the Apprenticeship:

You will have the opportunity to work as part of the team that is tasked with providing SAP solutions across the organisation and will offer exposure to all areas of the business. You will also have the chance to work with all levels of the JCB business to learn business processes and provide the right level of access to users whilst protecting the integrity and security of the systems and its data.

You will be doing a real job with important business-critical outcomes, have an opportunity to make a difference, all the while working towards a Level 4 apprenticeship qualification, which is recognised across all sectors. Working for a company which enables you to drive your career forward at a pace which you can achieve, enables diversification into specialist roles or apply to travel to every corner of the world in support of new and exciting products.

These are just some of the areas you will cover:

  • Maintain and develop SAP security roles and authorisations.
  • Deliver successful SAP security and authorisations project work to design and create new roles for users through the duration of the project and beyond.
  • Assist with the security and access requirements for environment refreshes.
  • Work with other teams, both within and outside of IT, to ensure that user access is appropriate and job specific.
  • Work with business teams to identify and eliminate segregation of duty conflicts.
  • Ensure SAP licenses are appropriately assigned and advise when license limits are reached.
  • Conduct user license audits and provide compliance reports to SAP.
  • Collaborate with teams to establish and maintain a consistent access approach across multiple (current and emerging) SAP technologies.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Work as part of an Agile team.

Training takes place with one of our dedicated training providers, who pride themselves on providing 1-1 learning. You will have dedicated academic support to ensure you make the very most of your development. ?And, once you qualify, you will have real business experience, exposure to how a fast pace organisation works, and knowledge of the day-to-day workings of how your role contributes to overall business objectives.?

You will bring dedication, passion and a real desire to succeed. Possessing strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a high performing team, you will also be confident working autonomously and will be driven to get results. Working within a fast paced environment means you need to relish a challenge and have a can do attitude.?

We are looking for someone who has a passion for IT and a desire to embrace new technologies, able to work effectively both individually and collaboratively as part of a team, builds positive relationships and is capable of communicating at all levels.
