Cleaning Manager

We are seeking a flexible, full time cleaning manager to take charge of cleaning two AirBnb/Short Let apartments (based inside of the same apartment block) including the laundry in line with our busy bookings calendar. You will be employed by us on an invoice/consultancy/self employed basis and paid via Bank Transfer weekly. The right candidate will be highly reliable, organised and trustworthy as they will be afforded flexibility in their role but will need to be able to accommodate last minute bookings with reasonable notice due to the nature of our business.

Responsibilities and Details:

- The ideal candidate will be available every day including weekends to clean two apartments taking between 2 hours - 3 hours per day. NOTE: we do not have multiple cleans per day every day, but we do most days of the week. Some days will be lighter. We do often have cleans on the weekend.

Due to the nature of our busy business we have cleans most days (7 days a week), and therefore consistent money for you to be made with our weekly payments arrangement. We will pay you £15 per hour to clean.

You can expect to make around £300 (often more) per week working on an average by doing a combination of 12-15 contracted hours per week on site cleaning & then doing laundry in your own time as outlined below.

- The ideal candidate will have access to laundry equipment at home, as we will pay you a weekly fee to do the laundry on your own premises in your own time in between cleans. The fee is generous and is fixed, meaning that even on the rarer weeks where you have less laundry (some weeks can be as few as 4 sets of laundry whereas the peak busy weeks in summer can see high volume like 15 sets of laundry - this includes bedding and towels). The fee will stay the same regardless of the lighter work load as it is a fixed laundry fee.

- The ideal candidate will need to have reliable cover if they are going on holiday or a trip, and will also be on hand in short notice. Due to the nature of our business, we are often prone to receiving last minuet bookings, meaning someone who is flexible is vital and could do a next day clean if we get a booking.

- The ideal candidate will monitor the stock levels and inform us when we need to replace things we provide to our guests such as travel toiletries, and snack items ahead of running out so that we can consistently meet our high hospitality standards.

- We are looking for someone who wants to work fewer hours per day but still earn closer to a full time wage, someone who doesn't mind the trade off of being needed as and when the calendar dictates, but in exchange has the flexibility of working fewer hours than they would typically need to in order to earn the same amount as paid working in this position.

- The role offers a degree of freedom as there are fewer on site hours which can be completed between check-out at 11am and check-in at 3pm, though we may notify you of late checkouts (e.g. midday) or an early check-in. These will be reasonable and give you enough time to complete the job - usually a matter of arriving earlier / later to the job that day, but your hours will be the same. We would require you to be able to accommodate guest needs like this, provided they are reasonable and not disruptive to your work pattern. These will be checked with you in advance.

- Someone reliable, in need of the income, with cleaning experience who can get to the apartments each day. Driving license and car necessary for this.

- We are looking to scale up our business with more AirBnb units this year, meaning there is an exciting pathway for the right person to be able to grow with us and earn more and more money as we scale up the business.

- Housekeeping experience within a hotel or similar is hugely advantageous.
