Context:

ISS in the UK provides high quality facility services designed to maintain the fabric and appearance of buildings, ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors.

ISS has been awarded the BT Facility Services (BTFS) contract as a tripartite agreement with
CBRE and BTFS to provide a best value cleaning solution that ensures BTFS can be “The best they can be”, in addition to Housekeeping services, ISS may be supporting other soft services as identified and agreed via a range of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive tasks to retain the BTFS estate at an agreed level of quality.

Job Purpose:

To carry out and complete tasks as allocated by the Manager to agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out general housekeeping / cleaning tasks as detailed on the task allocations, to agreed standard, as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Area Manager.

• To ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks assigned are completed within the required deadlines and to a high standard where reasonably possible. Ensure correct closure of task using agreed ISS IT processes.

• To ensure all Reactive tasks as assigned are completed within the required time scales and to a high standard where reasonably possible. Ensure correct closure of task using agreed ISS IT processes.

• To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene.

• To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Follow Cleaning Excellence guidelines at all times.

• Reporting faulty machinery / equipment immediately.

• Reporting of building faults via BTFS helpdesk

• To ensure company provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is worn at all times whilst at work.

• To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our customers at CBRE, BT, EE and ISS colleagues in line with ISS Service with A Human

Touch principles.

• To attend and complete any training as required by the Area Manager.

• Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to your Housekeeping Supervisor and / or Area Manager.

• Any other duties as may be reasonably requested within the grade of the post.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Ability to read English at a basic level, and a good level of spoken English for communication purposes

Skills:

• Ability to work as part of a team as well as own initiative

• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, employees and teams at all levels
