To develop and provide skills training and activities for learners on Job Growth Wales Plus programmes to address their learning barriers (youth provision). Key duties and responsibilities

1. To organise meaningful training and activities for learners, including trips and activities.

2. To deliver sessions that provide evidence towards employability and personal development and underpinning any relevant qualifications highlighted in their referrals.

3. To build a portfolio of employers that are willing to provide high quality work placement experience for learners. To carry and conduct on site healthy and safety employer checks to ensure learners well being and safety is catered for.

4. To liaise with Job Centres, Careers Wales, and other referral support agencies in order to promote INSPIRE Training’s services and maintain good working relationships.

5. To provide prospective learners with information on INSPIRE Training’s programmes and services and assist in promoting and marketing learning programmes to employers and learners.

6. To carry out meaningful interviews, inductions, initial assessments and reviews on learners to measure progress and identify actions and training needs.

7. To provide mentoring support to learners on all routes.

8. To try and ensure positive progressions for learners leaving INSPIRE Training through either employment, higher level of learning or volunteering.

9. To carry out any related administrative duties required enabling the smooth running of the Youth Programmes liaising with all routes and administrative department i.e. monthly reviews, ILP's, health and safety monitoring of placements, etc

10. To adhere to and promote INSPIRE Training’s practices and policies.

11. Any other duties as requested by your Manager, which may be necessary from time to time.

  • To actively keep updated with the company’s services and programmes.

2. To develop yourself by attending courses, meetings, training events, workshops and seminars, in order to not only develop yourself but also the company.

  • To demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills including report writing skills.
  • To be highly self-motivated and organised.
  • To ensure effective customer care skills.
  • A recognition and regard for observing confidentiality.
  • The capacity to work as part of a team.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and meet set timescales.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • To display INSPIRE Training’s values and ethos at all times.
