An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Projects and Admin Assistant to join the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to provide support to the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUGS) and the Department Operations Manager (DOM).
Duties and responsibilities
The post-holder will play an important role in taking the lead in researching and drafting documents for reviews and panels and will also be expected to coordinate and lead on projects as and when requested. Some analysis of student and staff related data will be required.
The post holder will also provide a pro-active office administration service to both the DUGS and DOM. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting HR duties, preparing documents and presentations, acting as secretary to various committees, organising training and development activities and supporting education related financial processes.
Essential requirements
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be highly motivated with excellent organisational skills and have the ability to interact confidently with staff and students at all levels. You will possess the ability to work independently and proactively, have excellent administrative skills, as well as a flexible approach to work and problem-solving. You will demonstrate an ability to pay close attention to detail and with well-developed interpersonal skills you will enjoy working as part of a team which comprises both academic and other support staff.
You will have previous administration experience, ideally in a similar role, an excellent standard of written and oral English communication skills.

The post is offered as a full-time, open-ended contract and is based in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London (South Kensington Campus).
