We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer


The Compliance function is a Second line of defence (SLOD) function, responsible for advising, reviewing and challenging the activities of the Group’s businesses (also referred to as “the FLOD”) to ensure that they effectively manage as “Risk Owners” the Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance risks inherent in or arising from the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. Senior Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer SDMLRO is accountable for the country level management and oversight of investigations in CIIOM.


In this role, you will:

  • Support the CIIOM Head of Financial Crime Investigations & MLRO with the day-to-day management of the investigations function at a country level across Jersey.
  • Assist the MLRO with maintaining oversight of the Hub function, from Triage through to investigation and Quality Assurance.
  • Interact effectively as appropriate with the Joint Financial Crimes Unit (JFCU), Jersey Law Officers Department, other law enforcement agencies, security and regulatory agencies in furtherance of public-private partnerships, information and training initiatives as well as on specific investigations of significance.
  • Communicates to all key stakeholders the ongoing status of such investigations and the related mitigating actions.
  • Co-ordinate and manage projects.
  • Ensures that the function continuously improves its understanding of the evolving financial crime risks at a country level and that this knowledge is rapidly applied to mitigation activities.
  • Ensures that external regulatory reporting is performed effectively and on a timely basis for all investigations.
  • Assist in the Recruitment, training and development of FCI staff in the area of financial crime subject matter expertise (including fraud, anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, countering proliferation financing, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption) as well as local AML/CTF legislation and regulations.
  • Line management responsibility for two members of FCI investigation team
