Hovis have an exciting opportunity as a Warehouse Operative based at our site in Avonmouth, Bristol to carry out duties and instructions so that all products requiring to be despatched are in the correct quantities, the correct quality, and assembled and loaded to the deadlines and standards that are required by our customers.

We are looking for the following candidates:-

• Attention to detail to ensure products are sent to the correct customer and in line with the customer order
• Carry out quality and code checks on products as appropriate. To ensure that poor quality items are removed from the order assembly process and replaced with good quality items (thus preventing customer complaints)
• To actively make and follow through suggestions for improvements, leading to a step change in site performance
• A work ethnic to constantly improve their performance and in doing so, the performance of the team
• Decant product as required for the operation
• Flexibility in a fast moving and changing environment
• An understanding that Health & Safety is at the heart of everything that we do

Desired Skills and Experience

• Basic numeracy and literacy essential to the job
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A good sense of importance of good customer service
• The ability to operate and understand the Put to Light system
• A good sense of importance of good customer service
• Knowledge and experience of short shelf life products and daily delivery operation
• Ability to prioritise and organise work load in a systematic manner
• Previous warehouse experience preferred (not essential)
• Experience in order picking

Successful candidate will be highly motivated, focused, reliable and hardworking, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team. Salary:- £25,342 per annum
