About us
House of Dog is a small but growing dog business in west London (Zone 2) with a service arm and a retail arm. We are known as the home from home your dog would choose and we like to do things a bit differently.
We walk in at least 10 different London parks and rarely do the same walk twice in a week. We head out of town whenever we can to explore the countryside. We encourage our dogs to play and dig and teach them how to swim.
We are passionate about sustainability and aim to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. We want to spoil our dogs without spoiling the planet.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and our agility as a business.
About you
We’re looking for a Dog Walker to help us care for our lovely dogs. This position involves daily walks, ensuring that the dogs are safe, exercised and happy. It also involves driving, with daily pick-ups and drop-offs in the area, and daily interaction with owners.
You must have:
- A love of dogs
- Previous experience with dogs, either at home or in a work environment
- A full clean drivers licence held for at least 3 years.
- Conversational English.
Ideally you also have:
- Excellent social skills
- Knowledge of dog behaviour, particularly pack behaviour
You are:
- Patient
- Reliable
- Organised
- Happy to be out in the great British weather!
Work will be 5 days a week and one weekend a month.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and drive dogs to and from designated locations
- Walk multiple dogs on-lead
- Walk multiple dogs off-lead where it is safe to do so and supervise them at all times
- Pick up their poo
- Keep the dogs and their environment clean, including washing them when necessary
- Feed them
- Play with them
- Pet and cuddle them
