Painter and Decorator

What you’ll be doing!

As a painter and decorator, you will be part of our Maintenance team and your role will be to help with the general upkeep of the hotel to ensure all areas are looking their best. You will have a keen eye for detail and will perform regular checks around the hotel to help keep the hotel looking great! You will be able to work with initiative and identify areas that need to be updated as well as ensuring any damaged areas are highlighted and corrected. You will also work systematically through the hotel updating all areas of the hotel including Front and Back of House.

You will ensure that when working all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to, to ensure the safety of you and your colleagues. As you will be customer facing, you must work ensure you work in a clean and tidy fashion and provide excellent customer service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work systematically through the hotel to ensure all bedrooms and public areas are looking great

2. Respond to any damages and paint/ decorate in a timely manner

3. Carry out requests in a timely manner

4. Walk round of the property internally and externally to identify areas that require painting and updating

5. To prepare all surfaces for painting

6. To apply various coatings to various surfaces as required

7. Ensure all inventory is kept at a suitable level

8. Adhere to Health & Safety requirements

9. Adhere to Brand Standards

Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
