Our Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, confident public relations and communications professional who is looking for their next challenge, working within the creative, healthcare communications space as part of the internal brand and comms team. Reporting the Head of Communications, you’ll be working as part of the internal agency team and there will be strong collaboration with our senior leadership team and specialist discipline leads to help grow and develop our brand externally.

You’ll have at least 3 years under your belt at a PR agency or in a comms/journalism role and will thrive on collaborating with others.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Develop and implement the overall PR, content, and social media strategy, including establishing the goals, budget, and tactics
  • Create and publish engaging content to support PR, media, and social marketing campaigns (e.g., blogs, opinion pieces / thought leadership, case studies, and white paper campaigns)
  • Research and draft public relations and content activities including articles, press releases, blogs, case studies, and interviews
  • Combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces, thought leadership, and in-depth features across a broad media spectrum
  • Research, identify, and secure interview opportunities to raise the profile of senior management team. Brief spokespeople within the organisation on communicating with the media
  • Act as a proactive point of contact for the company by building positive relationships with editors and journalists on a regional and national level. Manage all media inquiries and interview requests
  • Manage social outreach, including planning, organising, and posting across social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube

What we’d like to see from you:

  • An acute understanding of modern PR tactics and best practices
  • Experience of delivering impactful public relations campaigns from inception through to delivery, demonstrating creative and innovative thinking
  • A strong news sense and understanding of how the media works, and what makes a good story
  • The ability to think outside of the box to create earned media, paid media, and partnership opportunities for Havas Lynx Group
  • Experience of managing company social media pages – LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube (desirable)
  • A strong book of press contacts is desired but not mandatory
  • Excellent copywriting skills — ability to adapt style and content for different audiences
  • Excellent communication skills — the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and journalists
  • The ability to multi-task with ease
  • Interested in the creative, health & wellness, and the pharma space (again not mandatory to have that exact experience, but a passion for the space would be fab!)
  • Strong administrative and project management skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and excel under time pressure
  • Ability to lead the reporting, analysis, and evaluation of campaigns, understanding how to quantify and measure the value of PR and social media
