Automation Engineer

The Role
Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for an Automation Engineer for Histon. In Histon, we manufacture a host of ambient sweetspreads and jellies for our grocery brands. These includes Hartley'sjams and jellies, Gale's honey, Rose's and Robertsons marmalade's.
The role of the automation engineer is to provide technical support to the engineering teams ensuring continuity of production at all times. You will also support and develop both the Production Engineering and Service’s Engineering Teams to ensure the effective use of the current electrical skill base, supporting the daily operation of the site.

• Ensure good working knowledge of Hain Daniels safety procedures and adhere to the Company Safety Code while also driving forward any health and safety initiatives
• Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reduction delivering demonstrable business benefits
• Plan to improve service to the customer (internal and external) wherever possible
• To provide the engineering team with clear instructions, information and assistance as required

*What you will need for the role / what it will take:*

• HNC or above in Electrical Engineering
• Full Driving Licence
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an automation role or 5 years as in a junior automations role
