Job Brief:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing Supercar Showroom. You will be reporting to the Managing Director of the business in providing factual and strategic advice on financial decisions.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the business working 24 to 32 hours per week. We are happy to consider applicants on a PAYE or self-employed basis. We are unfortunately unable to provide remote working options for this role and it will be based in the office (Uxbridge, West London).

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will be:

  • Producing forecasts, reports, briefs and summaries to assist with short and long-term decision making.
  • Assisting the Managing Director in presenting the businesses’ financial position by providing commentary against forecasts and reports.
  • Oversee finance department employees, assisting with their growth and providing support where required.
  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas of improvement.
  • Manage Working Capital and setting up payments.
  • Seeking out methods to minimize financial risk to the company.
  • Review financial data and produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports (management pack).
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures in the company.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Assist auditors in yearly audit process.
  • Submitting Managing Director’s Self-Assessment.
  • Managing HMRC communications, including submission of VAT returns (arranging payment plans etc).
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and provide information where required.
  • Assisting in various ad-hoc duties, such as submitting business applications, speaking with lenders and suppliers.

As an ideal Finance Manager candidate, you are/will be able to:

  • Demonstrate previous experience in presenting company's financial status to Directors/Managing Director and third parties (Banks, Lenders & Investors).
  • Demonstrate previous experience in providing stakeholders with monthly management reports.
  • Use Excel proficiently (Pivot tables, vLookups etc).
  • Analytical and highly numerate with relentless attention to detail.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, organised and self-motivated.
  • Collaborative and flexible when working with colleagues to accomplish goals.
  • Effective at managing workload and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strategic, commercial and solution-oriented with an ability to think laterally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Show strong working knowledge of MS Office packages, SAGE, XERO and other accounting packages.
  • Educated to a degree level and possess an accredited qualification (ACCA, ACMA, ACA etc).
