Requirements of a Support Worker

• A caring attitude
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Good listening and communication skills
• Experience in dealing with challenging behaviours and using de-escalation techniques
• To work in a trauma informed way
• The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
• Good writing skills to fill in documentation
• Where appropriate to participate in child case planning meetings, case reviews, case conferences and LAC reviews concerning children & families
• Stimulate young people on how to use and make wise choices
• Working in partnership with young people, their social worker and carers and other relevant agencies
• Direct work with young people, key working and generally taking an active part in providing support on a shift work basis

• 9am - 9pm
• 9pm - 9am
• Sleep in (11pm - 7am)

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Croydon, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
