Purpose of the job
The Trainee Accountant role is perfect for a university graduate, or someone who has completed their AAT or equivalent financial qualification and is looking to take the next step towards becoming a qualified accountant, as the role provides exposure to both statutory accounting and management accounting, with study support being available upon completion of the probationary period.
The role will bridge the gap between our Warehouse and Finance teams, producing useful monthly reports, comparing spend to budget, monitoring inventory levels and ownership over the inventory balance sheet.
There will be an opportunity to learn about different accounting standards, among other natural progression routes as the business grows.
Key Accountability & Responsibilities
The role will see you posting journals, completing balance sheet reconciliations and producing departmental reports. You’ll be a signature on purchase orders for stock, whilst also acting as a business partner for the Warehouse, adapting your reports to fit the needs of the department.
Knowledge & Skills
The role requires a high attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications & Accreditations
2:1 Honours degree or A Level Qualifications and AAT or other similar qualification or experience desirable.__
