About the role and what you’ll be doing

This is an exciting and prominent role within the Fleetcor Information Security Team. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for receiving, researching, triage and documenting security events and alerts using multiple security platforms and technologies. This individual acts as the face of the SOC, collaborating with others within the IT organization, as well as internal business units and external customers/partners.

The SOC analyst reports to the SOC manager and is a valued member of the SOC team. The candidate will have a say in shaping the Fleetcor Information Security strategy and roadmap using their knowledge of the security threat landscape.

This is a Remote Role with On-Call responsibility on a rota basis and would be required to be at one of our offices when required (Swindon, Meriden, Walsall).

Key accountabilities

  • Monitor and triage responses for security events adhering to Fleetcor service level agreements (SLAs), metrics and business scorecard obligations.
  • Analyse attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) from security events across a global network of security devices and end-user systems. Stay current with, and remain knowledgeable about new threats for continuous improvement of Fleetcor response processes.
  • Partner with SOC teammates and collaborate with other functional teams to mature detection and response capabilities.
  • Recommend improvements to management and take action as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Expected skills and experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on information security monitoring and response or related experience.
  • Experience working with SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration solutions, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring (FIM), DLP and other network and system monitoring tools.
  • Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Current Security+ or similar certification.
