About the Warehouse Operative Role

This is very much a team role – you will be working on the night shift to get the orders ready for our drivers to deliver the goods to our customers. Your role is to pick and load customer orders for essential food products, and check-off orders.

It will be up to you to make sure things are accurate and well-presented to avoid incorrect picks and damaged stock, so being numerate and having good attention to detail is going to be essential.

We will give you a uniform and a headset so you can be easily guided by our voice-controlled system for customer orders as you move around the warehouse, and we will make sure you have the right equipment and PPE to be comfortable working in the three different zones: ambient, chilled and frozen.

About You

Ideally, you will have food warehousing and distribution experience and you must be fit and healthy, as the role requires you to be able to lift objects of up to 25 Kilogrammes.

You will need to be up to date and compliant with all health and safety and food hygiene legislation. You will be used to working to targets and will have an accurate and methodical approach to your work.

This role comes with a very attractive salary of £29,760 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance).
