Aquarist (must be a competent fish keeper)

Ferrybridge Aquatics, a very busy family-owned aquatic shop that has won multiple industry awards over the years is looking for a new Aquarist, who is enthusiastic, flexible and has a strong willingness to learn.

The role will be approximately 35 hours a week and the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and during some bank holidays.

The role will involve:

- Providing high quality advice/guidance to our customers.

- Livestock care/presentation

- Dry goods ordering

• Marine livestock ordering

- Aquarium cleaning

- Day to day maintenance in the shop

The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a busy retail environment, and have the following skills:

- Good knowledge and a keen interest in marine fish and working knowledge of freshwater tropical fish

- Proven track record of working in a marine/tropical fish shop with sound product knowledge

- Ability to maintain a good relationship with our customers

Any knowledge of website maintenance would also be highly welcomed, as we are trying to develop the internet side of our business, which could be a opportunity for the right person, but not essential.
