LEGAL
We're a full service in-house legal, corporate governance and compliance function, with lawyers in London, Porto, Lisbon, Shanghai, Dubai, Milan and New York. We provide solutions to challenging business matters and leadership and advice on strategic projects. We are a valued and integrated partner to global teams, in all business areas.
LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
The Legal, Ethics and Compliance Team at Farfetch is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel reporting to the Head of Legal (Commercial). You will enjoy an extremely broad role, delivering high quality legal advice and services across multiple operational territories in conjunction with our wider international Legal, Ethics and Compliance Team sitting in Porto, Lisbon, Dubai, New York, Milan and Shanghai. Acting as a true business partner, this role requires someone who is hands on and commercially minded, with a strong professional ethic and the energy, interest and training to pursue a broad array of non-contentious commercial matters.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Acting as main contact person for a number of our key business units including our e-concessions and boutiques teams and logistics and delivery team working alongside the business to deliver on material partner relationships.
- Working alongside members of the business to prepare and roll out commercial contract templates, when relevant. Supporting various Farfetch business divisions with general commercial contract reviews.
- Instructing external counsel on specialist matters such as real estate and employment. Working closely with Farfetch business teams to help them understand complex legal matters and assess risk.T
- Taking ownership of material business projects where required and working with the Head of Legal (Commercial) to achieve strategic commercial goals.
- Assisting on commercial elements of corporate transactions.
- Managing Legal Counsels (Commercial), including assisting with their development and learning.
WHO YOU ARE
- Be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 3-5 years’ PQE and strong commercial experience.
- Have excellent training; prior in-house experience would be highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to deliver commercial pragmatic solutions and concise advice.
- Be self-sufficient, forward thinking, innovative and agile.Have a strong work ethic and excellent communication, negotiating and drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Be passionate about fast moving consumer-led businesses.
