LEGAL
We're a full service in-house legal, corporate governance and compliance function, with lawyers in London, Porto, Lisbon, Shanghai, Dubai, Milan and New York. We provide solutions to challenging business matters and leadership and advice on strategic projects. We are a valued and integrated partner to global teams, in all business areas.
LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
This is a highly visible and exciting role in a well-regarded and dynamic team. Reporting directly to Senior Legal Counsel, you will enjoy a broad role, delivering high quality commercial legal advice and services across multiple business divisions and operational territories in conjunction with our wider international legal team sitting in Portugal, Italy, United Arab Emirates, China and the US.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Give advice on all types of commercial matters alongside the Head of Legal (Commercial), Senior Legal Counsel, Legal Counsel and Paralegal in the London office
- Work alongside Head of Legal (Commercial) and Senior Legal Counsel on strategic business projects across the group (including our marketplace services business unit, amongst others)
- Support various FARFETCH business divisions with general commercial contracts and advise a number of commercial teams including Business Development, Brand E-concessions and Positively Conscious
- Assist with ‘business as usual’ matters, including order fulfilment, advising the office management, indirect tax and the people teams
- Work with our Senior Legal Counsel and Paralegal on template contracts and contract capture and management
WHO YOU ARE
- You are an English or US law qualified lawyer with 1-2 years’ PQE as a corporate / commercial lawyer
- You have excellent and varied training and experience from a law firm or in-house team
- You ideally have some prior in-house exposure, perhaps in the form of a client secondment
- You possess excellent communication, negotiating and drafting skills
- You have a strong work ethic and attention to detail You are passionate about fast moving consumer-led businesses and technology services
- You have the ability to handle difficult time pressures and be resilient
- You are a team player who is driven, forward thinking, robust, innovative and agile, with commercial acumen
