ExxonMobil has operated in the U.K. for more than 135 years. We are best known today for the marketing of our Esso fuels and Mobil 1 lubricants and for our petrochemicals. We have refining and chemical operations in the UK, we operate the UK’s biggest private pipeline network and we retain a non-operated share in a number of fields in the North Sea. More recently, we are developing our involvement in lower emission projects in the UK, building on our experience in carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen production and biofuels.

What you will do
Providing operational leadership within our Fawley site- Identifying and implementing improvements across safety, reliability and maintenance
- Driving the identification & application of the best available technology
- Providing leadership during turnaround events - from defining work scope, through to leading execution
- Partnering with maintenance, technical and engineering teams to solve challenging operational & optimisation problems
- Management & second line supervision of large operational shift teams
- Mentoring other engineers, with the aim of developing both our knowledge and people
- Actively contributing to our global operations community
About you
Hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent (2.1 or above)-
Be able to demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of
- Petrochemical processes
- Operations management and systems
- The main business drivers associated with operating and maintaining process units within a petrochemicals site.
- Leading operations teams in all of the above
- Have experience in root cause failure analyses, process safety and risk assessment
- Be able to showcase a track record of proactive problem solving skills in an operating environment
- The successful candidate will be looking to join a world class petrochemical multi-national and will possess a broad range of technical, personal effectiveness and leadership skills in order to progress in a professional, technical based engineering career that could ultimately lead to your appointment into global senior technical leadership positions.
