About the role
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with Azure experience to join our fast-growing team. This position is mostly remote, based anywhere in the UK. However, we require you to attend monthly company events (near Leeds) and possible client visits.

A key aspect of the role will be to assist new and existing customers on their journey to the public cloud from either on-prem or other private or public cloud services and to deploy new environments or services. Ekco xTEN provides a first-class service to customers, providing responsive, agile support.

A typical day could include any of the following:

• Delivering exceptional customer service, working alongside an account manager to ensure their needs are met.
• Designing, building and managing cloud estates using IaC solutions such as Terraform, ARM templates and Azure Bicep.
• Developing an industry-unique approach to Managed Services, working on internal tooling and processes to simplify our work and ensure we get the information we need.
• Supporting customers Azure Estates through the complete lifecycle (build, maintain, update, migrate, optimise).
• Develop and improve our Azure recommendation engine.
• The freedom to tear any of that up if you’ve got a better solution

Essential Skills / Experience

• Experience with Public Cloud, (we use Azure), in a production environment
• Azure Associate Level certification
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell preferred)
• Knowledge of infrastructure (compute, storage, networks) both on-prem and in the Cloud
• Exposure to monitoring tools for Azure
• Confidence in working directly with customers, gather requirements, creating designs, and completing deployment to meet their technical challenges
• Experience using service management tools (we use JIRA)

Nice To Haves

• Building and Deploying IaC (we use Terraform)
• Knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework
• Experience using version control (we use Azure DevOps)
