EFI is looking for a Sr. Staff RIP Engineer/ Imaging Engineer to join the team creating the most advanced RIP in the world. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex imaging problems, optimizing processing and data flow, and finding clever ways to make what the customer meant to do actually happen. You’ll work with a dynamic and experienced team working through the challenges of the transition of analog to digital printing, especially in the emerging high speed inkjet market.
The position is based out of our Fremont office, but we have a hybrid work from home model. Remote candidates with the right experience will be considered.
You’re a good fit if you have:
- 10+ years' experience with Raster Image Processors or Page Description Languages
- Experience developing with Adobe APPE or CPSI or equivalent products
- OpenCV or other imaging toolkit experience
- Experience with variable data processing and/or creation
- C/C++
- Postscript
It’s a bonus if you have experience with:
- Developing Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, or Photoshop plugins
- Color processing and color management experience
- Compression
- Javascript or similar
- Python or similar
- Agile Scrum development process

Salary range: $150,000 to $175,000
The salary range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, skills, qualifications, experience, knowledge, location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- Raster Image Processing: 10 years (Required)
- Adobe APPE or CPSI: 1 year (Required)
