About the Role

As Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and Wellbeing, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery and management of our Mental Health and Wellbeing programme, contributing to the delivery of our modules on assessment and engagement, care planning and delivering psychological interventions and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. We would particularly welcome candidates who could teach across one or more of our programmes.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. A background in mental health, experience of working with severe and enduring mental ill-health, experience of community based mental health and an underpinning working knowledge of low intensity psychological interventions with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage. An established or promising research profile in mental health and wellbeing and very good teaching experience on undergraduate or postgraduate programmes is essential.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within the Department of Social Work and Wellbeing. Some infrequent travel and overnight stays each academic year to the East of England may be required.
