Job Summary:

Ready to make magic? We’re hiring for our undergraduate placement schemes.

As a Solution Engineer, you will be fully integrated into the day-to-day activities of our technical teams, monitoring the performance of our business technology stack, and providing solutions to any issues or queries.

You will be involved in working with business stakeholders and the analysis team to define quality, easy to use, cost effective solutions meeting business requirements. You will also get the opportunity to work with applications using industry leading technologies, system architecture and design, development, customization, and testing. This internship will strengthen your software development skills and knowledge of how they are applied to support systems within a global business. In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will develop in the areas of communication, negotiation and working well as part of a team.

The Solution Engineer Intern will work closely with a variety of teams across The Walt Disney Company Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) to understand their business applications and become experts in the software and solutions used. You will be working as part of a supportive team who manage the full support lifecycle from issue intake, triage, escalation, resolution, reporting, and communication.

This 12-month placement will provide a fantastic springboard for your future career.

Eligibility

  • Must be a second-year undergraduate student completing an industrial placement year course returning to study in autumn 2024

  • Must have the right to work in the UK already in place

  • Available to start working full time in the summer of 2023

  • Interested in the area you're applying to whether this is through your studies, experiences, extra-curricular activities or a general interest

About you

  • Strong interest in any of the following areas: IT, computer science, software engineering, development ops, computer systems or business

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties

  • Strong MS Office skills
