Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring for an Despatch Clerk based in our hub in Ryton on Dunsmore to be responsible for the coordination of the Linehaul vehicles transiting the site as well as pivotal duties in the day to day management of the Ryton based Linehaul drivers. Reporting into the Duty Controller, you will work as a part of a team in a key operation role in the National Hub Control Room.
40 hours per a week, from Sunday - Thursday flexible start time to be agreed in the morning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret Linehaul schedules as produced by the Linehaul Planners.
- Matching of drivers to schedules.
- Production of outbound loads and load manifests for driver despatch purposes.
- Briefing and debriefing of site based drivers including agency drivers.
- Downloading of Digicards and production of infringement letters if relevant.
- Completion of Agency Declaration Forms and Agency Hours Forms.
- Allocation and recording of vehicles issued.
- Liaison with warehouse staff regarding inbound and outbound loads.
Experience & Skills required:
- Experience in a coordinator or administrative position
- Experience working within a customer service environment desirable
