Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Developer based at our Knutsford; Cheshire office due to the rapid growth of Custodia where you will play an active part in the success of the company. This Senior Developer role is varied and will see you taking on multiple responsibilities including driving innovation, probing new technologies, leading our development team, shaping the department best practices and working on enterprise grade software systems with cutting-edge technologies. This would suit someone who is looking to work in an exciting and agile environment that offers variety and the ability to make a genuine impact on the business.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to drive the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications and directing the team to adhere to the software quality standards. You would ensure effective communication between team members and other areas of the company. Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement and act as a technical mentor and adviser for the team.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements

§ 5+ years’ experience as a Software Developer

§ College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

§ Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software of large scale, high availability, and geographically distributed cloud applications

§ Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise complex and demanding tasks

Core Competency Requirements

§ In-depth technical knowledge on software architecture and pragmatic approach to build on from the existing platform, whilst exploring and implementing new technologies contributing to building a technical strategy that will take the existing architecture to the next level by a well-defined roadmap.

§ Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment

§ Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum

§ You have experience in development using Java, Java Script, React.js, Node.js

§ You have experience in design and implementation of solutions, preferably in Service and API led architecture including exposure to:

o Containerization and Orchestration

o Microservices and distributed application frameworks

o RESTful API

o Elastic Stack

o Database (MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB)

o Microsoft Azure
