We are looking for someone dynamic, who lives and breathes design and editing software. Someone who can use that talent to transform all design efforts across our entire marketing function.

Escape Live, is widely regarded as the best escape room experience provider within the UK. We are a multi-award winning escape room and digital experience business, with five sites across the UK. In 2019, we opened the official Peaky Blinders escape room in Birmingham. During the Coronavirus pandemic, the business was an industry leader in developing online escape game content, and now has a large online inventory. Over the next 5 years we want to firmly establish our No.1 position in the marketplace and open new sites across the UK.

The Purpose:
Due to rapid growth, we are investing heavily into the expansion of our marketing function. We are scouting for brilliant talent within the graphical design field. We are looking for someone dynamic, who lives and breathes Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After effects and Premiere Pro. Someone who can use that talent to transform all of our graphical design efforts across our entire marketing function. The graphic designer will be the champion for developing highly engaging and creative content for our brand. This includes graphics for websites, social media, email marketing, and all of our paid media channels. We would also love you to be involved with graphical designs for new product creations. We are looking for a talented and creative individual with a strong flair for new ideas who has knowledge and experience with creating amazing content.

Responsibilities:

• Create video and image assets using; Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• To design online and offline marketing materials from, leaflets, social media imagery and artwork, email imagery and banners, newsletters, documents, and website assets.
• Support the social media and digital marketing manager with graphic design.
• Work closely with social media and digital marketing manager, to create assets that drive sales.
• Create video and image assets for social media, i.e. bespoke vertical video stories, images sizes for Facebook and Instagram ads etc. You will be comfortable with the required asset sizes and deliver them accordingly.
• Excellent understanding of typography & design layouts.
• Present new ideas to the business for asset optimisation.
• Take a proactive approach to your designs and creations.
• Create engaging designs for all of our channels that encompasses the brand's vision.
• Act as the guardian for all things creative. Ensure that it is seamless for the team to find the relevant files.
• Ensure that the design work is aligned with all marketing communications.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Create visual elements such as logos, original images, videos and illustrations that help deliver the marketing message.
• Design layouts, including selection of colors, images, and typefaces.

What are we looking for:
Someone who is an excellent multi-tasker, who can hit the ground running and immerse themselves into the business, the products and our digital marketing efforts. Someone who is proactive and loves all things graphical. Someone who can work individually and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic. Someone tech savvy with strong communication skills, brilliant attention to detail. You will have excellent IT skills, especially with design, photo and video editing software. You will also have exceptional creativity and innovation, excellent time management and organisational skills and an understanding of the latest trends within the commercial environment.

Entry requirements

Maths nad English GCSE at grade C/4 and above.

Bonus if you have the following understanding:

• An understanding of social media and paid advertising.
• A wider understanding of digital marketing as a function.
• The ability to create engaging content, email & website copy.

Training to be provided

Digital Content Creator -

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You’ll finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.
