Cranford Controls are a growing electronics manufacturer based in Hampshire. We're recruiting for design engineers that can help design the future of life safety products that help everyone safely evacuate in case of an emergency.

We do believe we offer a great working environment and benefits. Let us explain some highlights:

  • We're a small team where you can bring your best self to work. We pride ourselves on a strong team culture. We don’t just accept difference, we celebrate and value it. We are proud to be an equal opportunities workplace.
  • We're a growing business with progression potential. Cranford has a significant growth roadmap in place with our key partners, we’re looking for people that want to learn and develop along that journey.
  • We're part of something bigger. Our parent company, Halma plc, is committed to a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day. A FTSE 100 parent offers security and opportunities to progress among the group’s companies.
  • We're flexible with hybrid, part time and flexi-time team members. We have a variety of work schedules across our team so let’s determine what works best.
  • 10.5% employer pension scheme contributions.
  • 14 weeks parental leave. As part of the Halma plc group, we offer 14 weeks of parental leave to mothers and fathers following births, surrogacy and adoption.
  • A healthcare cash plan which is designed to help with costs of day-to-day health requirements, such as dental and optical treatment, physiotherapy and chiropody. Ask us for further information.
  • All employees are automatically enrolled onto our life assurance scheme in the third month following commencement of employment.

Cranford’s vision is to be the partner of choice for audio-visual alarm devices that help everyone safely evacuate in case of an emergency, we want you to be part of that. Our R&D department based in Alton, Hampshire use in-house resources to develop new Cranford products and customer-specific products that comply with industry regulations.

Apollo are a customer and supplier to Cranford based around 30 mins away in Havant, Hampshire. You will be exposed to working with the Apollo engineering teams and have the opportunity to visit their facility to support product development, testing or PCBA production on their SMT lines.
