More about the role & team

You will work within a wider global team, based across the UK, Montreal and South Africa.

Market Data Governance is responsible for leading all data sourcing, procurement and governance to efficiently and effectively enable spend owners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers and ensure that Confluence negotiates appropriate and best-in-class license terms from leading data providers (e.g. Refinitiv, Morningstar, S&P, MSCI).

You will support the Global Head of Market Data Governance in all operational tasks: Market Data Administration, (Inventory Management, Spend and Savings Analysis, Invoice Reconciliation and Usage Reporting) as well as managing operational contract life cycles for assigned vendors eg Equity Exchange.

What skills and experience do I need to succeed?

You will be able to read contracts like a lawyer and manage financial information like a bookkeeper.

You are required to have good knowledge of market data / investment management industry, with excellent attention to detail and good written communication and Excel skills (intermediate/advanced level).

Market Data Management (MDM) experience is desirable experience, but not essential.

We offer flexible working options for all employees.

You will be based primarily remotely, with travel to the closest office (London Aldwych or Cape Town) approximately once a week. There will also be some international travel (approximately once a year).
