Your key responsibilities will include:
- To ensure the presentation of the reception area is of the highest standard
- To maintain up to date information on the Accommodation Booking Service
- To receive all visitors and escort them to their destination within the building if required.
- To handle and account for cash as directed
- Allocate accommodation, issuing of keys, locking and unlocking main doors.
- Receiving telephone calls and inquiries and safe passage of messages
- To sort mail and issue accordingly
- To clear all public rooms during silent hours.
- To ensure that a full and complete written handover of information is signed for.
- To receive phone bookings of late/ early meals and pass to duty Supervisors.
- To sell sundry items.
- To ensure compliance to any Emergency procedures and Health and Safety Practices
- To ensure security rounds are completed during silent hours.
- To attend on and off job training as required and to put training into practice
- To promote the Company at every possible opportunity.
- To comply with any reasonable requests made by the Manager or the Company.

What you'll be doing:We're currently recruiting a dedicated Receptions Porter to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 42 hours per week.
As a Porter, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of customer care. This role provides a dedicated 24 hour reception service to the Wardroom Mess.
