A multi site role based out of Royal Air Force Lakenheath - covering United States Airforce Europe interests within the UK

up to £40.000 per annum DOE

40 hours per week

• Manage client and contractual relationships effectively in a collaborative and commercial manner ensuring compliance with company policies and ensuring that safety is placed at the forefront of all activities
• Drive Soft FM services and support solutions that at a minimum meet contractual obligations but aim to exceed new and existing customer requirements and are built around a commitment to continuous improvement, a drive for greater efficiency and operational excellence
• Build enduring collaborative, productive and effective site level relationships with DIO and single service clients
• Review own unit contract performance, identify improvements and ensure contract compliance to exceed client and customer expectations
• Be accountable for and deliver the site/s overall financial budget and profit ensuring adherence to all finance processes
• Ensure productive succession and talent planning practices are in place and that talent identification, coaching and development are living policies; work closely in support of the Operations Director to build a regularly updated talent matrix
• Ensure that team members are managed in accordance with company HR policies and guidance and that appropriate action is taken as required
• Support the mobilisation of new contracts as required

Our ideal General Manager - Janitorial will:

Essential

• Proven experience in managing successful teams and operating in a highly commercial Soft FM environment
• Single or multi site operational experience in a similar role with an understanding of delivering services to exacting specifications within quality and performance management regimes
• Experience of leading and managing successful teams to deliver great results
• Track record of growing sales and retaining business
• Janitorial or similar Soft FM background
• Previous budget management and Profit & Loss account responsibility
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• I.T & computer literate as well as contribution to web based communications media
• Excellent customer service qualities and high principles in service delivery
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and price sensitive markets.
• Collaborative mindset

Desirable

• Experience in multi-site soft FM operations
• Strong experience in managing multiple stakeholders across multiple contract styles with variations on deliver and output.
• Project / Change management and contract mobilisation experience
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent - Manager should have completed IOSH Managing Safely Course or be willing to achieving this within the first year of employment
• LEAN practitioner
