Sales Business Development Manager – Group Role

Our client is an expanding car dealership group who represents some of the top automotive brands from both the UK and Globally. Due to this expansion, the Group require a motivated motor trade professional to join their ranks as a Sales Business Development Manager.
This role is primarily branch based, with travel across the group sites 4 days a week. You will be able to work from home for at least 1 day per week.
We are seeking a person to be on the ground, hands-on and a real “do-er” rather than a strategist. The role will report to the group's F&I Director. They will be happy to provide guidance as and where needed, but the successful candidate must be competent in giving advice and guidance on a day-to-day basis to multiple sites and managers.
The role of the Sales Business Development Manager is to:
- Develop a culture around F&I within all the businesses that benefits customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, positive customer outcomes, vehicle sales, improved total gross margin and customer retention.
- Drive robust enquiry management in all businesses.
- Coach and develop the Transaction Managers and Sales Executives to ensure our client maximises opportunities on every site.
- Ensure all our processes are captured and documented so we can review, amend, and then give consistency and clarity as a group to our teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong motor trade/car dealership background
- Ideally experienced as a General Sales Manager (GSM) or a Head of Business (HOB) but looking to take a step up into a group role
- Ability to drive performance
- Passionate about improving staff performance whilst maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction
- Full Driving Licence
Package
- Home-based with travel to sites around the group 4 days per week.
- £60,000 Basic £85,000 OTE
- Company Car (CBS Scheme)
- 25 Days Holiday plus bank holidays
- Excellent progression potential
- Monday to Friday 8 am-6 pm
