We are looking to hire an Agile Project Manager to work as part of the Global Data Services team. As the Agile Project Manager you will initially focus on CMC’s UK Business Intelligence, DBA and Core Data teams. The Business Intelligence team are key to the successful execution of the business strategy and delivery of the key roadmap projects. The DBA team support and maintain CMC’s Core Database estate, and the Core Data team are focused on building new data capabilities as part of the wider Transformation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pipeline of work from both business and technical projects as well as ensuring operational activities are unaffected. By encouraging better prioritisation and resource management you will be able to create a more efficient and effective team.
- Work alongside the Head of Data Services, Head of IT Production, Team Leaders, Business Analysts and other Project Managers to plan and deliver changes to the Business Intelligence and Data platforms in line with the company strategy
- Manage the delivery pipeline for the Business Intelligence teams and ensure a clear prioritisation of the planned activities across the teams
- Manage the sprint planning and release cycles to ensure a timely delivery of new features in line with the agreed project timelines
- Responsible for running core Agile ceremonies
- Work with the Team Leaders on a day-to-day basis to ensure a smooth running of the teams and ensure clarity for each team member of their tasks and priorities
- Resource planning and forecasting
- Strive to continually improve the teams’ performance and organisation with tracking and implementing agreed actions
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experienced Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, IT Project Manager or IT Delivery Manager
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks large and small
- Strong problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable approach to change
- Good understanding and experience of applying project management methodologies; risk management; project reporting and governance
- Self-starting and proactive attitude
- Experience of using collaboration tools (e.g. Jira; Confluence)
